Vujnovich emphasized that WHO “by no means” has claims to statistics on COVID-19 in Russia .
The WHO representative in Russia noted that large volumes of testing for coronavirus allowed the country to "have a very good picture of understanding what is happening with the epidemic." She emphasized that Russian indicators reflect the real situation with the spread of the disease, and the authorities are complying with the WHO guidelines "on the application of the international classification of the disease."
Vuynovich added that in Russia, almost 100% of deaths are performed by autopsy, which increases the accuracy of statistics.
At the same time, the interlocutor of the radio station reacted positively to the experience of countries that are revising statistics on COVID-19, "because it allows the system to see how the epidemic was moving."
