British Airways, EasyJet and Ryanair do not want imposed quarantine
Airlines British Airways, EasyJet and Ryanair have announced that they are taking legal action against the British government to drop the quarantine imposed on travelers arriving in the United Kingdom. 417,000 deaths worldwide
Worldwide, Covid-19 has killed more than 417,000 people, and infected more than 7.4 million people, in 196 countries and territories.
The United States is by far the most affected country: it has passed the 2 million infected mark. The country continues to register around 20,000 new cases of coronavirus every day.
- Pandemic accelerates in Africa
The 200,000 contamination threshold was crossed on Tuesday in Africa. "It took 98 days to reach the 100,000 mark and only 18 to cross the 200,000 mark," warns the WHO.
- In Europe, borders soon reopened
In Europe, where new hospitalizations and death figures are plummeting, Brussels advocated the lifting of all travel restrictions within the European Union and the Schengen area from June 15.
But France will maintain traffic restrictions on its border with Spain until June 21. And travelers from the United Kingdom will be invited to complete a fortnight.
